Oral Suspension

PRODUCT ADVANTAGES:

COMPOSITION:
1 ml of the product contains:
• Colistin (as colistin sulfate) — 5,000,000 IU

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
• Colistin is a polymyxin antibiotic active against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp.
• Mechanism of action: disruption of the cytoplasmic membrane integrity of microorganisms, leading to bacterial death.

INDICATIONS:
• Calves, lambs, swine: treatment of gastrointestinal diseases caused by colistin-sensitive microorganisms.
• Swine: prevention and treatment of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to colistin.
• Poultry (chickens, turkeys): treatment of respiratory infections, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Calves and lambs (up to 3 months of age):
• 0.2 ml per 10 kg body weight (100,000 IU per 1 kg).
• Treatment course: 3–5 days.

Swine:
• 0.2 ml per 10 kg body weight (100,000 IU per 1 kg) daily.
• Treatment course: 3–5 days.

Poultry (chickens, turkeys):
• 15 ml per 1 ton of poultry body weight per day.
• Treatment course: 3–5 days.

Note: Dosage is calculated according to the animals’ daily water consumption.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
• Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to colistin.
• Do not use in animals with renal diseases.
• Do not use simultaneously with other antimicrobial products.
• Do not use in ruminants with fully developed forestomachs.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
• Meat:
o Piglets — 1 day after the last administration.
o Calves — 1 day after the last administration.

• • Eggs: permitted without restrictions.

STORAGE:
• Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature from 15°C to 25°C.

SHELF LIFE:
• 2 years from the date of manufacture.
• After first opening of the bottle — 3 months.
• After dilution in drinking water — 24 hours.
• After dilution in milk — 6 hours.

PRESENTATION:
• 1 L high-density polyethylene bottle.
