Powder for Oral Administration<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

COMPOSITION:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1 g of the product contains the active substance: doxycycline (as doxycycline hyclate) \u2013 750.0 mg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Excipient: lactose monohydrate.<\/span><\/p>\n

INDICATIONS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Treatment of pigs suffering from mycoplasmosis, MMA syndrome (mastitis-metritis-agalactia), as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms (Streptococcus suis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae) susceptible to doxycycline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Poultry (chicks, broiler chickens): Treatment of poultry suffering from colibacillosis, salmonellosis, as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms susceptible to doxycycline.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONTRAINDICATIONS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to tetracyclines or any of the excipients. Do not administer to animals with impaired liver and\/or kidney function.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not administer concurrently with bactericidal antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins), trimethoprim, or preparations containing Mg\u00b2\u207a, Al\u00b3\u207a, Ca\u00b2\u207a cations, as these bind to doxycycline and interfere with its absorption.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is recommended to avoid concurrent administration of the product with antacids, oxidizing agents, and kaolin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not administer to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n

TARGET SPECIES:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Pigs, poultry (chicks, broiler chickens).<\/span><\/p>\n

STORAGE:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Store in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children, at a temperature between 15\u00b0C and 30\u00b0C. Shelf life \u2013 4 years. After first opening, use the product within 28 days. Shelf life after dilution in drinking water or mixing with feed: 24 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Drinking water systems (tanks, pipes, drinking nipples, etc.) must be thoroughly cleaned after discontinuation of the veterinary medicinal product.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the risk of sensitization and contact dermatitis, direct contact with the product should be avoided. Avoid the formation of dust when handling the product. Wear protective clothing and gloves. Wash hands thoroughly after use.<\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For oral administration at the following doses:<\/span><\/p>\n

Pigs \u2013 14 mg of the product per 1 kg of body weight daily (10.5 mg of doxycycline per 1 kg of body weight), administered with feed or drinking water for 5 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chicks, broiler chickens \u2013 14 mg of the product per 1 kg of body weight daily (10.5 mg of doxycycline per 1 kg of body weight), administered with drinking water for 3\u20135 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The total amount of the veterinary medicinal product required to treat the entire group for one day can be calculated using the following formula:<\/span><\/p>\n

(Dose of Doxycycline 75% Kela (mg\/kg) \u00d7 average body weight (kg) \u00d7 number of animals) \/ 1000 = g of Doxycycline 75% Kela per day.<\/span><\/p>\n

ORAL ADMINISTRATION VIA DRINKING WATER:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For 1000 L of drinking water, the daily dose is calculated using the following formula:<\/span><\/p>\n

(Dose of Doxycycline 75% Kela (mg\/kg) \u00d7 average body weight (kg) \u00d7 number of animals) \/ Total daily water consumption in liters = g of Doxycycline 75% Kela per 1000 L.<\/span><\/p>\n

The calculated dose should first be mixed with a small amount of water until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. It is then added to a portion of drinking water that will be completely consumed by pigs and poultry within 12\u201324 hours. Unmedicated water should be provided for the remainder of the day. Fresh solutions must be prepared daily.<\/span><\/p>\n

ORAL ADMINISTRATION VIA FEED:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After mixing, the veterinary medicinal product remains stable in feed for 24 hours, corresponding to the daily feed ration.<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount to be added per 100 kg of feed can be calculated using the following formula:<\/span><\/p>\n

(Dose of Doxycycline 75% Kela (mg\/kg) \u00d7 average body weight (kg) \u00d7 number of animals) \/ (10 \u00d7 total daily feed consumption in kg) = g of Doxycycline 75% Kela per 100 kg of feed.<\/span><\/p>\n

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is permitted 5 days after the last administration of the product. Meat obtained before the specified withdrawal period has elapsed must be disposed of or fed to non-food-producing animals, depending on the assessment of a veterinarian.<\/span><\/p>\n
