PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Colistin is a polymyxin antibiotic active against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli<\/em>, Salmonella<\/em> spp., Pasteurella<\/em> spp., Haemophilus<\/em> spp., Bordetella<\/em> spp.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Mechanism of action: disruption of the cytoplasmic membrane integrity of microorganisms, leading to bacterial death.<\/span><\/p>\n

INDICATIONS:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Calves, lambs, swine:<\/strong> treatment of gastrointestinal diseases caused by colistin-sensitive microorganisms.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Swine:<\/strong> prevention and treatment of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to colistin.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Poultry (chickens, turkeys):<\/strong> treatment of respiratory infections, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis.<\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Calves and lambs (up to 3 months of age):<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 0.2 ml per 10 kg body weight (100,000 IU per 1 kg).<\/span>
\n\u2022 Treatment course: 3\u20135 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swine:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 0.2 ml per 10 kg body weight (100,000 IU per 1 kg) daily.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Treatment course: 3\u20135 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Poultry (chickens, turkeys):<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 15 ml per 1 ton of poultry body weight per day.<\/span>

Note: Dosage is calculated according to the animals\u2019 daily water consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONTRAINDICATIONS:<\/strong><\/span>
