SHORT DESCRIPTION:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAntibacterial product for the treatment and prevention of postpartum intrauterine infections in farm animals. Effective in endometritis, metritis, and retained placenta.<\/span><\/p>\n

COMPOSITION:<\/strong><\/span>
\n1 tablet contains:<\/span>
\n\u2022 Chlortetracycline hydrochloride \u2014 1000 mg<\/span><\/p>\n

INDICATIONS FOR USE:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Acute and chronic endometritis<\/span>
\n\u2022 Metritis<\/span>
\n\u2022 Retained placenta<\/span>
\n\u2022 Prevention of postpartum complications after difficult or complicated parturition<\/span><\/p>\n

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:<\/strong><\/span>
\nChlortetracycline is a tetracycline antibiotic with bacteriostatic action. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, as well as rickettsiae, mycoplasmas, spirochetes, and chlamydiae.<\/span><\/p>\n

Particularly sensitive organisms include: Streptococcus<\/em> spp., Staphylococcus<\/em> spp., Brucella<\/em> spp., E. coli<\/em>, Salmonella<\/em> spp., Pasteurella<\/em> spp., Proteus<\/em> spp., Pseudomonas<\/em> spp., Corynebacterium<\/em> spp., Klebsiella<\/em> spp.<\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAdminister intrauterinely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cows:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Prevention \u2014 1 tablet once within 24 hours after calving<\/span>
\n\u2022 Treatment \u2014 1\u20132 tablets per animal<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheep, goats:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Prevention \u2014 \u00bd tablet once within 24 hours after lambing\/kidding<\/span>
\n\u2022 Treatment \u2014 0.5\u20131 tablet per animal<\/span><\/p>\n

Treatment may be repeated after 48 hours if necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Meat \u2014 10 days<\/span>
\n\u2022 Milk \u2014 4 days<\/span><\/p>\n

SPECIAL WARNINGS:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAdminister only when the cervix is sufficiently open (immediately after parturition).<\/span><\/p>\n
