COMPOSITION:<\/strong><\/span>
\n1 g of the product contains the active substance:<\/span>
\n\u2022 Oxytetracycline (base) \u2014 800 mg<\/span><\/p>\n

Excipients: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose.<\/span><\/p>\n

INDICATIONS FOR USE:<\/strong><\/span>
\nCalves and swine \u2014 treatment of respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.<\/span><\/p>\n

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:<\/strong><\/span>
\nOxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic broad-spectrum antibiotic of the tetracycline group. Its mechanism of action consists of inhibition of protein synthesis through binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit and reduction of cytoplasmic membrane permeability in susceptible microorganisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasmas, chlamydiae, rickettsiae, spirochetes, and some protozoa.<\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Calves:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAdminister orally with milk, milk replacer, or drinking water at a dose of 20 mg oxytetracycline or 25 mg of the product per 1 kg body weight every 12 hours.<\/span>
\nDuration of treatment \u2014 3\u20135 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swine:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAdminister orally with drinking water or feed at a dose of 50 mg oxytetracycline or 62.5 mg of the product per 1 kg body weight per day.<\/span>
\nDuration of treatment \u2014 4\u20136 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Group administration (calculation of daily dose):<\/strong><\/span>
\n[(A \u00d7 B \u00d7 C) \/ 1000 = Oxi-Kel 80% per day]<\/span><\/p>\n

Where:<\/span>
\nA \u2014 average body weight (kg)<\/span>
\nB \u2014 number of animals<\/span>

CONTRAINDICATIONS:<\/strong><\/span>
\nDo not use in ruminants with fully developed forestomachs, in animals with renal or hepatic insufficiency, or in cases of hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADVERSE REACTIONS:<\/strong><\/span>
\nPossible binding of tetracycline to calcium with deposition in bones and teeth; photodermatitis in animals with low skin pigmentation; very rarely, allergic reactions.<\/span><\/p>\n

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER PRODUCTS:<\/strong><\/span>
\nDo not use simultaneously with products containing calcium or other polyvalent cations, or with penicillins and cephalosporins.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n4 years<\/span>
