Description

Suspension for intracisternal use.

Composition

1 syringe tube (9 g) contains the active substance: cloxacillin benzathine salt — 1000 mg. Excipients: butyl hydroxytoluene, aluminum monostearate, liquid paraffin.

Indications for use

Treatment of cows during the dry period of patients with subclinical forms of mastitis and for the prevention of possible infections during the dry period.

Pharmacological properties

ATS vet classification code QJ51 — antibacterial veterinary drugs for intracisternal use. QJ51CF02 Cloxacillin. Cloxacillin — is a semi-synthetic antibiotic of the penicillin series, active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms: Staphylococcus spp. (including strains resistant to penicillin), Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Coiynebacterium pyogenes, Neisseria spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The drug acts bactericidally, preventing the synthesis of the outer shell of the cell membrane of the microorganism.

Dosage

After the last swelling, inject the contents of one syringe tube into each quarter of the breast. The udder is washed and disinfected before the drug is used

Withdrawal period

Milk: For human consumption, it can be used 96 hours after calving. If the hotel occurred earlier than 42 days after the introduction of the drug, then milk should be eaten in any case 42 days and 96 hours after treatment. Meat: It is prohibited to slaughter animals for meat during treatment. Eating meat is allowed 28 days after the last administration of the drug.

Contraindications

Do not use for lactating cows. The drug is not used later than 42 days before calving. Do not use in animals that are hypersensitive to the active substance.

Penicillins and cephalosporins may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) after exposure to drugs. Hypersensitivity to penicillins can lead to cross-reactions with cephalosporins and vice versa. Allergic reactions to these substances can be serious. Use the drug with caution. If contact with the medicine has occurred and you develop symptoms of allergy (redness of the skin), ask your doctor for advice. Itching of the face, eyes or lips, heavy breathing are more serious symptoms and require immediate medical attention. After working with the drug, you need to wash your hands.
