IDEAL TREATMENT FOR RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS

COMPOSITION:
1 g of the product contains:

• • • Doxycycline hyclate (equivalent to doxycycline) — 500 mg

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Doxycycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic of the tetracycline group that:

• • • Inhibits protein synthesis by blocking the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the acceptor site.
    • Exhibits bacteriostatic activity against:
      • Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.
      • Gram-negative bacteria: E. coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Brucella spp., and others.
      • Mycoplasma, rickettsiae, and chlamydiae.

The product is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (93–100%) and maintains therapeutic serum concentrations for up to 24 hours.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Broiler chickens and turkeys:

• • • 15–25 g per 100 L of drinking water (10 mg per 1 kg body weight), for 5 days

Pigs:

• • • 0.2 g per 10 kg body weight (10 mg per 1 kg body weight), for 5 days

Calculation for group therapy:
(mg of active substance/kg body weight × average body weight (kg) × number of animals) / total daily water consumption (L) = mg of active substance per 1 L of water.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• • • Hypersensitivity to doxycycline.
    • Do not use in laying hens and turkeys producing eggs for human consumption.
    • Do not administer to animals with impaired liver function.
    • Do not use concurrently with bactericidal antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins) or antacids.

WITHDRAWAL PERIODS:

• • • Pigs: 4 days
    • Turkeys: 10 days
    • Broiler chickens: 3 days

Meat obtained before the end of the withdrawal period must be disposed of or fed to non-productive animals.

STORAGE:
Store in a dry, dark place at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C.

SHELF LIFE:

• • • 2 years from the date of manufacture.
    • After first opening (5 kg package): 3 months.
    • After dilution in water: 6 hours.
