COMPOSITION

1 ml of the product contains:
• Dexamethasone sodium phosphate — 2.64 mg

INDICATIONS FOR USE

The product is used in animals for:

• • Non-infectious inflammatory conditions
    • Allergic reactions and skin disorders
    • Laminitis in horses and cattle
    • Snake bites
    • Metabolic disorders
    • Pregnancy toxemia in ruminants (late gestation)
    • Stress and shock conditions

In combination with antibacterial therapy for acute infectious diseases.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with an anti-inflammatory effect 30 times stronger than cortisone and 7–10 times stronger than prednisolone. It has:

• • Anti-inflammatory
    • Antiallergic
    • Antipruritic
    • Antistress effects

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Administer intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously (dogs).

Anti-inflammatory and antiallergic doses:

• • Dogs, cats: 0.25–0.5 ml per 5 kg body weight
    • Swine, cattle, horses: 5–10 ml per 400 kg body weight
    • Sheep, goats, calves: 1–2 ml per 50 kg body weight

SPECIAL DOSAGES

• • Induction of calving in cows (1 week before parturition):
    2.5 ml per 100 kg body weight
  • Postpartum toxemia and induction of lambing/kidding in sheep and goats:
    6 ml per 50 kg body weight
  • Anti-shock therapy:
    Administer slowly intravenously up to 10 times the standard dose; may be repeated after 8–12 hours if necessary

Intra-articular administration:

• • Swine, cattle, horses — large joints: 3–4 ml; small joints: 1–2 ml
    • Sheep, goats, large dogs — large joints: 1–2 ml; small joints: 0.25–1 ml
    • Small dogs, cats: 0.25–1 ml

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

• • Meat: 14 days after treatment
    • Milk: 2 days

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• • Do not use in cases of cardiac or renal failure, hypercorticism (Cushing’s syndrome), diabetes, or osteoporosis
    • Do not use during viral infections or concurrent vaccination
    • Do not use in pregnant ruminants when there is a risk of premature parturition

SPECIAL WARNINGS

• • Gradual withdrawal is recommended during long-term therapy
    • If a microbial infection is suspected, treatment should be combined with appropriate antimicrobial therapy

SHELF LIFE

2 years.
Store in a dry, dark place at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C.
