Composition

100 ml of the drug contains active substances:

• calcium gluconate monohydrate — 3.1 g;
• calcium borogluconate — 42.9 g;
• calcium hydroxide — 1.32 g;
• magnesium chloride hexahydrate — 6.5 g;
• 2-aminoethyl dihydrogen phosphate — 0.6 g; (corresponding to 4.56 g calcium, 0.78 g magnesium and 0.132 g phosphorus).

Dosage and method of administration

They are used in a complex of measures for the purpose of treatment and prevention of diseases of farm animals at:

• tetanyakh (during pregnancy, lactation, during transportation, grazing, etc.);
• paresis caused by a lack of calcium and phosphorus; violation of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium metabolism (rachitis, osteodystrophy, osteomalacia, etc.); lead, fluorine, oxalic acid poisoning (as an additional agent in complex treatment);
• toxicosis, allergies. Calcitat C 50 is administered to animals intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously in the following doses:
• Cattle in the treatment of acute calcium deficiency and postpartum hypocalcemia — 200–220 ml/500 kg w.m.;
• Cattle in the prevention of metabolic disorders of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium — 100–150 ml/500 kg w.m.;
• Calves, young cattle, sheep, goats, pigs — 15 ml/50 kg w.m.;
• Piglets — 1.5 ml/5 kg w.m.;
• Dogs — 2 ml/10 kg w.m.;
• Cats — 0.5 ml/2.5 kg w.m. If necessary, the drug is administered again after 8–10 hours, subsequent injections are carried out after 24 hours.

Side effect

When using the drug according to the instructions, side effects and complications are usually not observed in animals.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in hypercalcemia, acidosis, severe kidney function disorders, atrial atrial fibrillation, increased sensitivity to the components of the drug. Calcitat C 50 is recommended for use in animals simultaneously with digitalis preparations, vitamin D and its analogues.

Special instructions

No special precautions are provided. Products of animal origin after the use of Calcitate C 50 are used on a general basis.

Storage conditions

In the manufacturer’s closed packaging in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, inaccessible to children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature from 0°С to 30°С.

Shelf life

3 years from the day of production, after opening the bottle — 28 days.

Release form

The drug is produced in packaged bottles of 100 ml in glass bottles of 250 and 500 ml — in plastic bottles.
